Inspiring Future Women Engineers - Day Workshop

Check back on December 1 for a 2025 Date

Inspiring Future Women Engineers is a day-long STEM camp for students to learn more about engineering and science. The day will have fun activities, learning objectives, and guided experiments. A parent or guardian is encouraged to attend the workshop all day with their child. Participants will receive a certificate, t-shirt, and gift bag.

Kettering University and the A-Section Society of Women Engineers Organization empower women to succeed and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievement, as engineers and leaders. Here is your chance to learn about careers in engineering and science. This program is for high-school students in grades 9 – 12. Current Kettering University SWE students and faculty lead this program.

 

9:00 – 9:15 a.m.

Ice Breakers

9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Admissions Presentation, Student Panel, and Campus Tour

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Lunch

1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Four different Hands-on Lab Activities with Kettering Faculty

5:15 – 7:15 p.m.

Dinner and Alumni Guest Speaker

7:15 p.m.

Parent Pick-up

 

Fee: TBD Per Student. Your fee will include lunch and dinner, a t-shirt, a backpack, and all the materials for the hands-on activities with Kettering Faculty and A-Section Society of Women Engineer students. Space is limited to the first 36 students to complete their registration.
